Haryana government has released Electric Vehicle Policy 2022. The objective of this policy is to promote the manufacture of electric vehicles and their parts in the state. The government is also offering 100 percent reimbursement of stamp duty along with a waiver of electricity duty for a total of 20 years.

    The EV policy was released after a meeting of state cabinet ministers chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday. The state’s EV policy offers financial incentives to EV manufacturers on fixed capital investment (FCI), employment generation, net SGST, stamp duty, etc. Anand Mohan Sharan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department said a day ago that the formulation of this policy will encourage research and development in the field of electric vehicles.
